Far surpassed my expectations

My now-wife and I recently completed our 8-day Rongai route climb of Kili with Peak Planet. These guys far surpassed my expectations for the trip. The communication was great from start to finish — no small thing when planning such a big trip.

Peak Planet Freaking Rocks!

Everything was amazing. Guides were on top of everything, vitals were monitored and guides had a lot of altitude knowledge and could help in any situation that arose. Meals were delicious and filling, tents were very comfortable and I stayed warm even as a solo. Peak Planet wants to get you to the top and as long as it is safe to do so and your body can handle it, they will get you to the summit. Put your trust in them and you won't be disappointed.

06 · Our verdict

WOULD WE BOOK THIS ROUTE?

When the southern routes are wet or crowded, Rongai is the answer. The dry northern approach, the Mawenzi acclimatization day, and quiet trails make it a reliable, scenic climb.

Rongai is our shoulder-season pick. Drier, quieter, and gentler underfoot than anything on the south.
