Everything it takes to put you on the summit and back down safely — guides, porters, tents, cots, meals, transfers, hotel nights, park fees — laid out in full. And the short list of what we don't cover, so nothing on this trip is a surprise.
Park fees, hotels, transfers, supplement med-evac coverage, a full crew, and fair working conditions are all standard on every trek. Six things on the right are not included — we say so up front so you can budget honestly.
They say you can judge a Kilimanjaro operator by the tents they use. Cold, bad sleep, and an unhygienic camp doesn't help you to succeed. We don't cut corners on shelter, beds, or sanitation.
Italian-built expedition tents from Ferrino — making high-altitude shelter since 1890. Each four-person tent sleeps just two climbers, with an external vestibule for boots and poles. Sturdy in sustained wind, dry in the rain.
A real cot with a 200 cm foam pad for every climber — no sleeping on the cold ground, nothing to deflate or puncture overnight. Off the ground means warmer, and easier to get up and move.
A Ferrino Campo Base mess tent with tables, chairs, and lights. Thermal-insulated to hold out wind, rain, and snow — the warm gathering place at the end of every day.
Non-optional on every climb. A seated commode with a manual flush, zipped for full privacy — so you never touch the public long-drops. Emptied and cleaned daily by a dedicated porter. It keeps the whole group healthy and comfortable.

Altitude steals your appetite — so the food has to be worth eating. Our cooks work with fresh, locally grown ingredients, high in the liquid and carbohydrate that fuel a summit. All of it is included, every meal, every day.
* Tell us about allergies and dietary needs at the trip-planning stage — not on day three of the climb.
Every climb includes two hotel nights — one before you start, one when you come down — at Stella Maris Lodge in Moshi. We don't cut corners at the start and end of your trip; we want the whole stay to be good, beginning to end.

* When Stella Maris is full, we use alternative lodging of the same standard, confirmed after booking.
What's included isn't only the gear and the meals — it's how the climb is run. A fairly paid, fairly loaded crew and a route left as we found it are part of the price, not an upsell.
Porter wages are audited by KPAP. The crew that carries your climb is paid properly for it, and we will show you the receipts.
Loads are weighed at the gate so no one is over-burdened. Every porter gets proper sleeping gear and three meals a day. We promote from within — today's porter is tomorrow's guide.
We are Leave No Trace members. Everything we carry up the mountain, we carry back down — so the route stays as good for the next group as it was for you.

Personal gear isn't in the price — but you don't have to buy a kit you'll use once. We rent the big-ticket items at quality you'd trust on summit night. Quantities are limited, so reserve early.
Ferrino Nightec 800 or equivalent — a dual-zip, all-season bag with a cold-protection hood and heat collar. Cleaned between every climb. Sleeping bag liners are provided with your rental.
Lightweight telescopic aluminium poles, rented in pairs. They shift load off your legs and save real energy over a multi-day climb.
Ferrino PrimaLoft® Silver synthetic jacket — windproof, water-repellent, and packable, with warmth equivalent to 500-fill down for cold camps.
Personal oxygen via a nasal cannula and pulse meter — two canisters, one tested on an acclimatization hike, one for summit night. Eases altitude symptoms.
